Student Testimonials

This internship through Student-Athletes Study Abroad has been one of the most exciting events of my life thus far. I have been more than blessed to say that I was accepted and sponsored to intern at a world championship event, let alone in Australia! Being able to travel across the world was an absolute amazing experience. I made so many new connections with potential employers and/or business partners. Luckily I was also able to live like a true “Aussie” through interning at this event.

Jonathon Thomas, SAA Summer Intern 2018

I had an amazing experience interning for the Wheelchair Rugby World Championships. To meet such high level athletes, experience what type of team culture they had and to be so heavily involved in a large event and see the work behind the scenes and the planning it takes to make an event like that take place. One big highlight of the program was getting to know my Australian colleagues in the office. They were intentional about spending time with us and they would take us out on the weekends to sports games and various attractions- we really got to know them both as professionals, and as friends.

Eliza Phaup, SAA Summer Intern 2018
