We understand the value of real professional development opportunities for student-athletes. We offer academic courses and international internships, tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each student-athlete, giving them a leg up over other students in their field of study.

ATHLETES

For many student-athletes, the key to their study abroad experience is the ability to continue practicing and training for their sport. We acknowledge this need and provide the adequate programming and resources to allow student-athletes to continue their training abroad.

ABROAD

We are dedicated to respecting the local culture and values of the countries we visit. Our programs offer student-athletes an unparalleled and unforgettable opportunity to explore the world, embrace different cultures, and experience the richness of new environments, using sport as a common denominator.

Internship Components

We offer international internships tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each student-athlete. Students develop intercultural competence, language acquisition, and professional skills applicable to any industry through an immersive learning opportunity.

Admission Process

1. Apply

We are looking for students who are invested in their professional and personal growth.

2. Interview

All applicants will receive an email to schedule a 20-minute phone interview with our admissions team.

3. Deposit

All programs are capped between 15-25 students. Once admitted, register and deposit to secure your spot.

Full Support

In our efforts to provide unique study abroad experiences for student-athletes, we strive to set students up for success before, during, and after their program.

The process starts during the program interviews with guiding students towards the right program that fits their career goals and interests. Then, through a series of pre-departure orientation sessions we prepare students for their upcoming adventure and internship projects.

While students are on their SAA program both our full-time and on-site staff are available 24/7 to support students on their transformative experience, from providing guidance on internship projects to chaperoning excursions to responding to emergency and non-emergency situations.

After their program ends, we continue to support students' professional development through resume guides, letters of recommendation, and career guidance. In addition, alumni from all our brands -- Student-Athletes Abroad (SAA), Beyond Sports Tours (BST), and GLASS -- have access to discounts on future programs across our organization. SAA alumni receive exclusive alerts on job openings and fellowship opportunities at Beyond Sports. We are proud to have many former SAA, Beyond Sports, and GLASS participants as part of our full-time and season staff!
