I'M AN ORIGINAL CATCHPHRASE
The Student-Athletes Abroad internship program provides students with the opportunity to learn about event operations, management, and planning. Over the course of the program, students will take the lead on major projects and their impact will be sustained long after the program ends. Our internship partner organizations have office locations in the Sydney Olympic Park, home of the 2000 Summer Games. Students will be able to utilize the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Center for their daily workouts which features an Olympic sized pool, small lap pools, state of the art strength and conditioning facilities, and a variety of free exercise classes. Students live with host families in the surrounding neighborhoods and have free weekends to explore Sydney and the amazing beaches and mountains nearby.
Dormitory style student housing facilities in the neighborhoods surrounding the Sydney Olympic Park offer a quick commute to your internship office and easy transport throughout the city on the Sydney Metro. Breakfast and Dinner will be provided daily.
You can maintain your training by working out 4-5x per week at the Sydney Aquatic Center at the Olympic Park. There will also be opportunities to play your sport abroad, and train with other U.S. athletes.
On the weekends, you'll have opportunities for independent travel with other interns to places like the Sydney Opera House, Harbor Bridge, the Quays, the Taronga Zoo, Bondi Beach, Manly Beach, the Blue Mountains, and more!
Final internship placements depend on a variety of factors. We are able to work with students interested in a custom internship. Contact us for more information or questions about available internships!
