Our Mission & Approach
At the core of our organization is a strong belief in the mutually beneficial interaction between our students and local youth through sport. Students leave our programs saying that service-learning was the highlight of their international experience and that they learned more through service-learning than they could have ever learned in the classroom! Our service-learning partners include local public schools, national sports federations and non-profit organizations offering after-school programs to local youth.
We emphasize the importance of a "Train the Trainer" concept which involves student-athletes teaching locals skills that will benefit our partners long after the service trip has ended. This concept encourages the theme of investment into our partners rather than handouts to charities.
Program Description
Customize a 7-10 day Service-Learning trip or a 10-14 day Academic Trip in one of many Beyond Sports destinations. We have a network of over a dozen partners in each location and work with faculty to create a meaningful and balanced trip that meets your objectives. Our on-site staff work with us to plan and implement our custom programs, making it a seamless process for you.
